Teams may carry up to 20 players during training camp, which, for the Heat, opens Sept. 28, but must cut to 15 by Oct. 25, one day before the Heat open their regular season on the road against the Boston Celtics. While Butler has been a regular at AmericanAirlines Arena this offseason, he has been limited to rehab sessions as he attempts to overcome the torn ACL he sustained during the NCAA Tournament Final Four.
